Biography
I am currently working at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas as an AV/IT Systems Specialist for the Office of Information Technology in the Classroom Technology Services department. Prior to this position I had been working for Mohegan Sun Pocono as an Audio/Visual Technician in their IT department. Before all of that I completed my graduate degree at Marywood University in communications arts. While attending Marywood I served as a graduate assistant in the Music, Theater, and Dance Department as the Media Coordinator / Promotions Director. I have held several other positions during my many years of working in film/television, including Event Producer of Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders televised baseball games for Fox 56 and the Producer of Call the Doctor on WVIA-TV. As Producer of Call the Doctor I was able to add some new elements to the show and lead it to win a Telly Award. I was also instrumental in changing the format of the show to modernize the look and embrace technology.
I completed work on my master 's degree in communication arts from Marywood University back in 2015. That was after I finished my bachelor's degree in communication arts with an Advertising / Public Relations concentration, and a minor in Business. During my college enrollment years I was an active member of the Marywood Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) and the American Advertising Federation (AAF). I also spent some time on 91.7 Marywood's alternative radio station as host of the Joe Chro radio show.
Currently I am a member of the Audiovisual & Integrated Experience Association (AVIXA) and hold a Certified Technology Specialist Certification. I am also an active member of the Northwest Managers of Educational Technology (NW/MET) and the Higher Education Technology Managers Alliance (HETMA).
